Informal Means: Alternative Design Practices in Latin(x) America
Location: Harvard Graduate School of Design
Informal Means: Alternative Design Practices in Latin(x) America is a student-run symposium that will uncover unconventional modes of production and professional empowerment within the built environment.
A collaboration between LatinGSD, GSD Career Services and Loeb Fellowship, the event explores successful non-traditional and multi-scalar fields of practice as opportunities to develop business models via social agency, advocacy, and activism. By highlighting Latin American and Latinx expertise in contemporary social impact design projects, the symposium will present strategic, participatory, and sustainable endeavors working alongside communities and in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
