Leonardo D'Amico

Leonardo D’Amico is a PhD candidate in Economics and was a 2023 Meyer Fellow at the Center. In July 2025, he will join the Economics Department at Princeton as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Louis A. Simpson Center for Macroeconomics. In July 2026, he will join the University of Chicago as a Saieh Family Fellow at the Becker Friedman Institute for Economics, and in July 2027, as an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research focuses on regional macroeconomics and finance, with a focus on housing. D’Amico received an MSc and a BSc in Economic and Social Science from Bocconi University in Milano, Italy. He also worked as a junior economist for Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, is an affiliate of The Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences at Harvard, and a member of the Reimagining the Economy project at the Harvard Kennedy School.
