Julia Smachylo
2018 Meyer Fellow
Julia is an urban planner and designer. She is a Doctor of Design candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and was a 2018 Meyer Fellow at the Center. Her doctoral work looks at how cities are tied to their surrounding hinterlands, in investigating how the operationalization of these landscapes have/are leading to specific forms of urban development.
