Rising Insurance Costs + Limited Equity Cooperatives: Research from Our 2025 Gramlich Fellows
Event Details
Join us for presentations by our 2025 Gramlich Fellows in Community and Economic Development:
Ariella Amit, a Master of Urban Planning (MUP) student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), will discuss how community-based organizations (CBOs) are responding to the rising cost of property insurance for multifamily housing.
Zack Lively, also a MUP at GSD, will share the experiences and lessons of CBOs that are developing limited equity cooperatives to preserve or create permanently affordable housing.
The Gramlich Fellowship, which is co-sponsored by the Center and NeighborWorks® America, gives Harvard graduate students the opportunity to research promising approaches for addressing challenges related to affordable housing and community development. The application deadline for the 2026 Gramlich Fellowship is Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
