Racialized Geographies of Housing Financialization

Location: Gund Hall 109, Harvard Graduate School of Design

Speaker(s): Elora Raymond

Join us for a talk with Elora Raymond, Associate Professor of City and Regional Planning at Georgia Tech, about what happens when housing is treated as a financial asset rather than a social good. This practice, combined with the recent activity of institutional investors and private equity in the housing market, especially in Southeastern states, has informed policies that have led to increased evictions in Black communities.

In-person only; no registration required. Organized by the Harvard Urban Planning Organization
