The majority of research being done on dyslexia focuses on school-aged children and generally around reading skills. While that work is important, there is limited research focusing on the experiences of and policies for teens and adults with undiagnosed dyslexia, who may spend their lives wrongly believing they are unintelligent and unfit for education. Studies have found that large proportions of prison inmates and homeless youth in the US are dyslexic, yet individuals with dyslexia are also widely represented among successful entrepreneurs and innovators.

This full-day, student-led conference at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) will explore what it means to build a life, approach a career, and thrive with dyslexia. The day will feature keynotes, panels, and interactive sessions that highlight both research and lived experience.

Organized by the HGSE Dyslexia Club.
