Meeting Multifamily Housing Finance Needs During and After the Credit Crisis: A Policy Brief
Supported in part by the National Multi Housing Council, this paper briefly describes how the multifamily housing finance system operates, the role of the federal government in this system, and the challenges and risks that lie ahead. The brief also summarizes a policy discussion convened by NMHC and JCHS in December 2008 that explored potential opportunities for the reform of multifamily finance as part of a new vision for the nation’s housing finance system.
