The Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University will again offer prizes for the best graduate-level research or design projects on housing. The competition is open to all Harvard graduate students. To be considered for an award the project must be nominated by a faculty member. Faculty members are asked to nominate projects that advance the field of housing studies as an academic endeavor. The projects must be written within the 2011-2012 academic year. While the deadline for submissions is Friday, April 13, 2012, admission will be taken any time during the school year. Winners will be announced in late April 2012.
Submissions should be double-spaced, in a single-sided format with the author, faculty nominator and contact information included on the cover page. Design projects will be judged by their drawings and accompanying explanation of the project. Awards come with a modest cash prize, and winning projects will be disseminated by the Joint Center.
